Meet Our Staff

Meet the dedicated, friendly members of the Sanders Glen staff. These professionals are committed to providing all residents of Sanders Glen with an exceptional living environment.


Sue Hamaker

Executive Director

Sue runs the show at Sanders Glen. She is a state licensed Residential Care Administrator and has been working in senior residences since 2007. Sue directs and manages our Assisted Living staff to ensure that Sanders Glen provides a welcoming and comfortable environment where residents have access to outstanding services. Sue is available to answer any questions or concerns from current or potential residents – just ask!



Angie Simmons

Director of Nursing

Angie has served as the Director of Nursing at Sanders Glen since 2015 and has worked in long term care for more than 30 years. She is responsible for managing the care of the 110 resident facility, as well as the nursing staff. Angie attended the Ivy Tech Community College and received a certificate in Nursing as a LPN in 1993. In her free time, Angie enjoys relaxing on the beach, swimming, camping and fishing in addition to spending time with her adult children and extended family.



Nancy Reid

 Director of Activities

Nancy and her helpful, caring activities assistants focus on creating a recreational and social support system for our residents. The programming they design provides a wide range of choices to meet the needs and interests of our residents. Nancy was named the 2014 IHCA Clinical Staff Member of the Year.





Debbi Smith

Director of Marketing

Debbi is unwavering in her efforts to spread the good word about our terrific community. Debbi is responsible for assisting our residents in their transition to Sanders Glen. She is attuned to the challenges of moving into a new situation and does all in her power to make the process as easy as possible. She also ensures that each resident is in a living arrangement that best meets his or her needs.



Mark Wayman

Director of Food Services

The dedicated kitchen staff and their leader, Mark, are here to assure a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for all residents at Sanders Glen. Our ‘foodies’ work diligently to meet your dining expectations and appreciate your positive comments and constructive feedback. Mark's door is always open if you want to discuss food service.


Brent Smith

Director Maintenance and Environmental Services

Our industrious maintenance crew, headed by Brent Smith, works diligently to keep all equipment and facilities running smoothly and the grounds looking well manicured. If plumbing, heating/cooling or any other maintenance concerns are causing you any problems, Brent and his staff are the folks to take care of you. Brent also heads the Environmental Services Department. Brent has a meticulous staff there as well. They are responsible for the routine cleaning of your apartment and the common areas within Sanders Glen. Brent encourages you to contact him with questions or concerns about your housekeeping and laundry services.
